Welcome to Operation Walk
We are a private, not-for-profit, volunteer medical service organization that provides free surgical treatment for patients in developing countries and in the United States. We treat those suffering from disabling arthritis and other debilitating bone and joint conditions.

Our Mission
Our Mission
Operation Walk Maryland restores mobility, independence, and hope to needy patients around the world, by providing free hip and knee replacement surgeries, while collaborating with local healthcare teams to achieve sustainable community impact.
What We Do
What We Do
Operation Walk Maryland uses the best-trained and skilled health care providers to deliver the highest level of care that we have in the United States. There is no cost to the patient or community that we serve. All time and supplies are provided through donations. Knee and hip replacements are among the most cost-effective medical procedures. They greatly enhance the quality of life of those suffering with arthritic pain, so they can be more active members of their community.
One-ness
Operation Walk Maryland believes in the “one-ness” of all humanity. We value inclusion and the growth that comes from the exposure to different backgrounds and beliefs. Operation Walk Maryland is committed to helping those born into disadvantaged situations across the world. Therefore, we will not turn a blind eye to the disparities in healthcare and the racial injustices within our own country. We believe that change lies in the same kindness, love and generosity that supports our medical missions. We are grateful for all those using their hearts and voices to advocate for underrepresented communities. Operation Walk Maryland stands with the black community and other groups across the world who are subject to social injustices.
Where We've Been
Our team travels to developing countries to provide life-changing orthopedic care and procedures.
