Volunteering

The gift of a new hip or knee joint from the Operation Walk team can make a significant difference to those who can’t perform everyday tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, or just tying their shoelaces. You can help in two ways. If you are a health care professional, you can donate your time and expertise and become part of the Operation Walk team. You can also make a tax-deductible donation.

Please realize that Operation Walk Maryland has no employees and all funds go to patient care with the exception of our small marketing efforts. In this way we can maximize what is raised for those we serve. All the work, from raising funds to packing supplies is done entirely by the volunteers. If you choose to volunteer, this will be more than just traveling on a mission trip. Volunteers are expected to participate in fundraising activities as well as packing and unpacking for trips.

Operation Walk Maryland requests a one-time volunteer donation of $25 to cover administrative costs. Please click the button below to make the donation. Upon successful completion of the payment process via PayPal, you will be directed to an online volunteer form. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact us at info@operationwalkmd.org.
