The Operation Walk Maryland Team will be leaving on January 18th for Ludhiana in the Punjab state of India. The team consists of 49 health care providers and volunteers who will be taking care of patients for the course of a week. They will be working at Dayanand Medical College.
We have shipped all the supplies necessary for the team, and a small group will arrive two days before prepare the hospital. The full team will screen patients on the 21st and then operate for three full days. The patients will then be followed for two more days. In addition to the free surgeries the team will also work with and train local surgeons and nurses.
